postheadericon Trading Forex Currency

Trade is basically defined as an exchange of goods or services at an agreed rate of exchange (e.g. two apples for three oranges). And in the same way that apples and bananas can be traded, currencies can also be exchanged for one another.

Foreign Exchange or Forex currency trading involves buying and selling one currency for another at a mutually determined rate. Various parties from different countries around the world participate in this process that contributes to the largest financial market in the world. With more than US$ 1.5 trillion traded each day and with the traders coming from all parts of the globe, Forex currency trading continues for 24 hours a day every single day of the year to accommodate all possible trade between different nations.

Exporters, importers, and local and international fund managers are the main participants in the trade. Banks, however, play a significant role as it mediates almost all trade. Forex currency trading has actually been dubbed as an “interbank” transaction owing largely to that fact.

The exchange rate used for trading which ultimately determines the published rates seen in daily broadsheets may depend on a lot of things. Macroeconomic indicators such as interest rates and the inflation rate can influence it just as much as political and social events like the implementation of new policies or elections results. It is due to this plus the large number of participants in Forex currency trading that it is considered the most volatile trade market – that is, compared to the securities and money markets.

On the other hand, because of the large volume of active Forex currency trading each day between more than one hundred fifty countries, it is also considered as the most liquid trade market. Based on research, the average trader would probably trade as often as ten times in one day. Now imagine millions of traders across the globe working at that rate – or even more – each day and you will definitely see trading where money flows easily at a very high turnover rate and where realized gains could be converted very easily to cash.

Forex currency trading is generally unregulated. While certain countries impose some form of control through their central banks, no single organizations governs the entire market. Central banks can only impose control in the sense that it could draft monetary policies for the country itself to protect it from huge losses in trade. Its role in how the whole market works, however, is very minimal.

Foreign governments at times participate in Forex currency trading to influence their own currency’s value. This can hardly be accounted for as a form of regulation because governments participate fairly in the market in the same way that banks and multinational firms do. To achieve a target currency value, governments either flood the market with currency or buy out currencies. The former works to devaluate the currency while the latter causes its value to appreciate. But while some experts believe this to be a sound way to stabilize a currency’s value, many economists believe otherwise, claiming that this could hardly have an effect in the long-run because the sheer volume and size of the Forex market prevents one body from manipulating even one aspect of it. Eventually, currencies will reflect its real value no matter how much governments try to manipulate them – that is just how the free market works.

As with all kinds of trade, Forex currency trading can be tricky and it takes significant amounts of research and experience to be successful at it.

postheadericon FXDD Forex Broker Review

When it comes to trading Forex, a new trader has a lot of choice. They can choose to go with a recommended broker from a friend or family member, or they can choose to go with a broker offering great leverage or trading software. The problem is that neither one of these paths will net them at a broker that is honest and fair, as the recommendation from the friend may not be accurate, and a lot of leverage is not a good thing for a new trader.

I have traded at many, many different Forex brokers. Some have been great for trading, yet brutal on the service end of things. Others have had great service, but may have had high commission rates as a result. One common theme that I noticed, however, was the desperate attempt to build trust: plainly said, there are not a lot of brokerages that a trader can actually trust.

Why? It comes down to disclosure: what are their commission rates, what are the spreads like, and is there a deal desk trading against you? Many brokerages don’t tell you either way, leaving you to wonder if the trading that you are doing is bringing the highest return for your dollar. In my experience, it usually isn’t.

FXDD for New Traders

I started using FXDD several months ago after being disappointed by the customer service of several other brokers. As always, I gave FXDD the benefit of the doubt when I began trading. To my surprise, there were no complications or mistakes. The trading was smooth, and dare I say it, relaxed. The ease at which I was trading amazed me.

FXDD offers daily reports and in-depth analysis, as well as education and support for a new investor. This, combined with a solid trading platform, creates a great environment for a new trader to get their start with Forex.

If you are curious about starting Forex trading, but you don’t want to put any cash on the line, FXDD offeres a free demo account.

FXDD for Established Traders

FXDD overs a few solutions for tax-free trading, as well as advanced charting and tools. Their software is top notch, and it only took me a matter of minutes to figure everything out.

Advanced traders will feel right at home with FXDD, and should any problems arise (for whatever reason), their support desk is always ready to answer your call.

Conclusion

Though there are more efficient or more aesthetically pleasing brokerages, FXDD is a dependable, solid brokerage that offers feature-rich trading at a low cost. The value that they build for their clients is quite obvious, and I expect nothing but growth for this company. I would place more of a recommendation for them, but their information for new traders is somewhat lacking in depth.

postheadericon Forex Trading – Advantages and Disadvantages

What is Forex Trading?

Forex, or Foreign Exchange, is the simultaneous exchange of one country’s currency for that of another. This market of exchange has more daily volume, both buyers and sellers, than any other in the world. Taking place in the major financial institutions across the globe, the forex market is open 24-hours a day.

Currencies are quoted in pairs. The first listed currency is known as the base currency, while the second is called the counter or quote currency. In the wholesale market, currencies are quoted using five significant numbers, with the last placeholder called a point or a pip.

The forex market is one of the most popular markets for speculation due to its enormous size, liquidity, and tendency for currencies to move in strong trends. An enticing aspect of trading currencies is the high degree of leverage available.

Advantages of forex trading

Leverage. Huge leverage is available in Forex trading, often up to 100:1 meaning that large profits can be generated from small margin deposits.

Liquidity. The enormous size and global trading of the forex markets means that the markets in the major currency pairs are very liquid making trade executions almost instant with little slippage.

Ability to go short. Since currency trading always involves buying one currency and selling another, there is no structural bias to the market. This means a trader has equal potential to profit in a rising or falling market.

Trends. Fundamentally, the value of a country’s currency is determined by interest rates and the strength of the economy in relation to other countries. Currencies, therefore, have a greater tendency to trend until the fundamentals change.

Disadvantages of forex trading

Leverage. With huge leverage available to forex traders the danger is that positions which carry too much risk for the account size can be taken on, leading to margin calls. Effective money management rules must be adhered to.

Brokers. Retail traders must use a broker rather than dealing directly in the interbank market. The broker will be the counterparty in all transactions and is, effectively, making the market. They can, therefore, widen spreads or even refuse to trade during volatile trading conditions. To avoid dealing with brokers an alternative to forex is to use futures. See online futures trading for more details.

Spreads. As the retail trader must use a broker to trade, they cannot deal at the interbank rates. A broker will generally quote a fixed spread of 3-20 pips depending on the currency pair. The underlying interbank rate might be as little as 1 pip.

Forex is a very large market but for most retail traders dealing with brokers the odds are shifted against them. Online futures trading provides a much more level playing field for most traders who want to take part in forex trading.

postheadericon How To Profit Trading Forex

If anyone has ever told you it’s easy to make money in Forex they are misleading you. Successful traders have discipline, the ability to manage their money and understand the psychology of the market. Trading is not done by guessing which way the market will move, but by using either fundamental analysis or technical analysis.

To make any kind of money in this world, you need a definite plan to follow in order to get from point A to B. The same holds true when trading in Forex. Many traders are able to follow a set of rules. How often you break this set of rules will have an effect on how much money you can actually make in the Forex market. The real challenge presents itself when a trader follows their rules and the rules fail to make any money at all. Sticking to your trading rules at all costs even while losing money will eventually yield a profitable trading system.

Sticking to a set of rules is not enough to become a profitable trader. Managing your money is extremely important. Many beginning traders over-leverage themselves and eventually lose their entire account. A good money management system to follow is always look to win twice as much as you lose on each trade. This way you only have to be right 50% of the time and you can still profit. Good money management will beat out a great trading system any day.

The most challenging aspect to over come in the Forex market is going to be your psychology. Being a trader, you need to learn to accept losses. Losses are going to happen in this market and it’s impossible to avoid them. The key is to keep your losses minimal and let your profits run. Every trader will face a psychological battle with themselves whether they are in profit or losing money. It’s important to refer back to a set of rules and discipline yourself to follow these rules when you begin to question yourself on a trade. Too many times traders have lost money and begin revenge trading to make their money back. Again, too many times traders have stopped themselves out of a profitable trade too early because the market goes against them initially, only to reverse in their favor.

In order to make money in Forex, a trader needs to educate themselves and learn all there is to know about the market. In the end, the successful trader ends up using a very simple system to profit. There are many online courses that will help anyone learn how trade Forex. Even successful traders are continuously learning and educating themselves on foreign exchange market.

postheadericon Trading Forex – Summer Slowdown

All financial markets exhibit some seasonal tendencies. These behaviors are more visible in some trading instruments, while others are subjected to less of an impact. Generally speaking, these patterns are considered important enough, that an entire “science” of trading was developed, which deals with this phenomenon. That is cycle analysis, and there are market participants who consider this kind of trading the only valid approach.

These seasonal tendencies are most visible in physical commodities markets. There are good reasons for that. For example, grains tend to be cheapest around harvest time, since this is the period of the year when supply is most plentiful. Natural gas is typically most expensive during winter, when demand is the highest. Stock market traders surely heard about the “presidential election cycle” as well as the “Santa Clause rally”. These are all examples of seasonal patterns.

Currency markets are not immune to these forces. Granted, since Forex is affected by many more influences, these tendencies have much softer basis than those in commodity markets. The sheer size of FX trading makes it difficult for any one set of circumstances effect to the price behavior repetitively. Even though, there are observable, proven times of the year, when things are different. Enter the summer slowdown.

Summer slowdown takes roots in the fact that a lot of people take vacation during this time. This includes professionals who place orders on behalf of banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions. Since large, commercial, market participants constitute balk of the volume in Forex, their absence creates drop in liquidity. Very often people left at trading desks are not the real decision makers, and don’t have necessary authority to commit the “typical” size to transactions. This causes price to behave in even less predictable manner (not that it EVER truly is).

This is demonstrated in many different ways. For example, trends tend to be shorter in duration and not as explosives. Chart patterns will demonstrate higher than normal rate of failures. Traders using traditional techniques like Fibonacci numbers and Elliot wave, will notice that they are less reliable than during other times. News might cause wilder gyrations than the significance of this development would mandate. Virtually all aspects of trading are effected to one degree or another.

For years these summer blues were to be expected to take place in July and August. Over last decade, however, they have become confined increasingly to the month of August, but that made them even more noticeable. That surely has to do with increased popularity of spot Forex trading as well as raused level of competition for clients on institutional level.

What is trader to do? There are number of ways to take advantage of this pattern. Trend followers might want to enter longer term trades in September, at levels just below/above August lows/highs. These moves tend to be strong and directional, as if traders, after a long rest, were very determined to make trends happen. Most recently, this simple approach has been providing very good results.

Day traders might want to adjust their methods a little bit during the month of August. For example, most targets for trades are derived using some kind of projection technique, which gives target as a specific target. That can be changed to time based targets. Once in a position, trade should be held for a specified period of time, like the end of current trading session. These kind of simple changes can lower failure rate.

Summer slowdown doesn’t have to be wasted time. If one is aware of its existence, advantage can be taken either during this period or shortly after. And, of course, there is one more way of dealing with August’s unpredictability. This one is sure fire and time tested- take vacation yourself.

postheadericon Forex Killer Review – Why I Think Forex Killer Is Scam!

I have been trading Forex for 10 years now and I have seen people succeeding and
failing in it.

Forex can be extremely profitable but the truth is that 99% of traders lose a lot of
money every day.

That’s the reason why some many people try to find a magic formula or software
that will help them making money on Forex without any risk.

Many people have thought that they have found the solution. That Forex Killer will
help them make big $$$.

I have tested hundreds of different pieces of software in recent years and I must
admit that some of them are useful but none of them will greatly reduce the risk
of currency trading.

That is why I was so surprised when I got a message about Forex Killer in my mailbox.
I was really confused with what Andreas Kirchberger was promising to deliver.
It took me two days to make up my mind whether I should buy Forex Killer software or not.

After I had read many positive reviews on internet I decided to get Forex Killer for myself.
I was testing the software for two full days and my lost sales where over 70%.
I was actually sure that I was doing something wrong. I am experienced Forex trader
and there was so many people around who had success with it.
I just couldn’t figure it out.

I spent the whole week trying to succeed with Forex Killer and finally I managed to make
178 pips.
The following week was even better because I made another 296 pips.
So why do I think Forex Killer is scam?
It is because Andreas Kirchberger claims that his software is perfect for beginners.
In fact it is really complicated with a lot of features that will be really difficult to
work out by newbies.

But if you are stubborn enough you will succeed with Forex Killer.

postheadericon How To Trade Forex By Signals

Despites of what many beginners believe or wish to believe, trading forex is extremely risky business. A huge percentage of the beginner forex traders lose all the money in less than few months. Another big percentage of traders manage to start well just to suddenly lose everything in volatile market times.

If you want to trade forex successfully, you need to read a lot of books, study tutorials and play with demo money for years. Uh!

Any other options, please?

Yes, there are.

Get signals from experienced forex traders

This is a simple concept. If someone has already read all these books and practiced trading for years, why not following him or her trading instead of following the entire education process?

Sounds great, but… Most forex traders won’t share their trades with anyone. Unless this is part of their business – this is what the forex signal providers are doing.

What exactly is a forex signal?

Typically it’s an email or some kind of instant alert telling you when to buy or sell a currency pair. Sometimes signals are distributed with desktop software which notifies you instantly. Others are organized as private chat rooms where members can not only get trading signals but also communicate with the main trader and the other users of the signals.

Some signal providers will propose you a stop loss and will send you exit alerts. Others will suggest you only the entry point and let you decide when to exit the position yourself.

That’s why trading forex by signals requires at least basic understanding of how forex works, what is a stop loss, limit and lot size.

The costs

The costs of forex signals vary, but generally they will be in the range of $50 – $300 monthly. Some companies will give you good discounts if you subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months.

There are also free signals offered, but usually you get what you pay for.

The risks

Trading by good signals drastically increases your chances to make profits long term. But forex trading is a very risky investment and you can still lose a lot of the money.

One thing that you should consider is that your expected trading profits should be large enough to cover the signals provider fee and bring some revenue to yourself. You will need to decide on a proper size of your investment in order to achieve that.

Another problem is that many signals companies publish fake results of their trading in order to get more subscribers. You should carefully investigate the signals company before paying for their service.

postheadericon Forex Scalping Methods

Scalping the Forex market is one of the fastest growing methods for trading Forex in the modern day world. In Forex scalping trading is performed over much shorter periods than other forms of trading and income is often generated even from relatively small fluctuations in a currencies price.

The main reason people trade via scalping is often that due to the quick nature of the method, profits can be built up fairly quickly. What’s more it also makes market movements far less likely to cause a large differential in the buy and sell prices.

Other methods of trading such as technical and fundamental analysis rely on analysing trends and predicting movements based on past performance or current news. Forex scalping offers a much quicker turn of events and traders using this method are simply looking for lots of small movements in currencies in any trading day.

Due to this difference in speed of trading, Forex scalping often means that traders run a much tighter ship as the risk is spread short time over a large number of currencies. In other methods of trading losses can often run a bit loose as the trader searches for that one trade that will return a big profit.

When scalping a trader will often only hold a currency for a matter of minutes before they resell at a profit. What is basically happening is that the Forex trader is playing with the spreads to bring in money where others fail to spot such a small market move.

Almost all successful Forex scalpers base their strategy on absorbing masses of information about the market they are trading in. You will not find many new traders adopting scalping methods simply because of the level of knowledge and nerve you need to succeed.

It is also rare that a Forex scalper will hold their position overnight. Most will close all trades before finally turning their computer off. If they do not then the trade they leave running is not really following the Forex scalping method.

The scalping method is usually based on three factors:

Liquidity – The more liquidity in a market then the more attractive it becomes to a Forex scalper as they can make more profitable trades in any given period.

Volatility – Only the most stable of markets are attractive to scalpers as a big movement is not what they are looking for. A stable market offers the chance to gain lots of small profits from many many trades

Time – A successful Forex scalper will not always begin trading at the start of a day. True, the longer they have to trade then the more they can make but patience is the key since it is pointless trying to scalp the Forex if market conditions are not right, for example in a period of large economic uncertainty.

As you can see, providing you have taken the time to learn as much as possible about market conditions then Forex scalping methods are not that difficult to implement. In many ways they are much more secure than other methods and this is why the method is becoming so popular.

postheadericon How the Internet Has Changed Forex Trading

From the start of consumer Internet usage, people have looked for ways to make money online. One of the newest of these is forex trading. Forex, or foreign exchange, trading was formerly a venue only for banks, institutional investors and the very wealthy. It wasn’t until 1997 that this opened up to smaller investors and the Internet played a large part in that event.

Forex trading online has revolutionized the currency trading market by giving everyone with Internet access real time access to the forex market. You can see how the currencies are being traded anywhere in the world. You can execute trades day or night. The forex market closes only on weekends, opening up again on Friday night for the next 5 24-hour days. Before this advent, regulations prevented certain short trades, however, a globalized forex market has forced the relaxation of these rules so Americans can compete internationally.

Another significant impact of the Internet on forex trading is the widespread proliferation of forex courses, advice and training to be found there. Of course, some of them are junk. But there is a great deal of useful programs that will guide and assist you in all aspects of your forex trading venture. Some things available that you may want to look for are in-depth analyses of forex trading systems, demo software to try out your training trades, availability of historical charts and online libraries, the opportunity to ask expert advice via live chat, video training and maybe even live seminars. Many courses will run online discussion boards, affording you the opportunity to learn from fellow forex traders.

And finally, online forex analysis software can be a great tool for the beginner and experienced trader alike. These programs identify and analyze emerging trends, showing the user how to execute the proper trades to capitalize on these events. In this way, a new trader can learn how the market operates and gradually gain the trading experience to start formulating his own trading rules, or system. And of course, they can retrieve this analysis, apply the rules of whatever system they are using and execute trades all online without ever leaving the house.

These three things combine to make a unique opportunity for making money online. A person could be a complete beginner knowing next to nothing about forex trading. He could find a good training course with all the right tools for the beginner. With practice and access to expert advice, he’ll start to make money. He’ll expand his account as he becomes more successful and will start to execute more and/or bigger trades as his income allows. With the right kind of training and experience, it would be entirely possible to set your sites on a career change, doing forex trading for a living completely from home.

Many people now depend on forex trading for their livelihood and maybe you too, will soon find your calling! The important thing is to get your education first. Practice with paper trades to gain confidence. Keep your good money management skills at the forefront and you could find a good source of income using the Internet to do forex trading.
